Who We Are

This year we celebrate 135 years of service to the Greater Nashua community. We’ve been proud to help our neighbors learn, grow, and thrive. Yet we’re called to do so much more. Our region faces new challenges that create a greater need than ever for the work we do every day. Fortunately, where some see obstacles, we see opportunities to make a difference. For 135 years, our Y has been here: Partnering with educators and parents to support learning, health and well-being inside and outside the walls of our local schools. Developing and delivering programs that emphasize prevention and a proactive commitment to healthy living. Serving as a gathering place for individuals of all backgrounds to come together to learn, play, connect and be healthy. We thank our hardworking and dedicated volunteers and staff for finding innovative approaches to improve the health of our community, help children succeed and offer meaningful ways for our members and program participants to grow and serve others.

What We Do

Through its 135 years, the Y has helped individuals to improve their health and well-being while building a strong sense of community. The Y provides family-centered, value-focused programs and activities for its members and the surrounding communities. As a member, we hope your relationship with us is as meaningful to you and your family as it is to us. The Y is for everyone. Our programs, services and initiatives enable kids to realize their potential, prepare teens for college, offer ways for families to have fun together, empower people to be healthier in spirit, mind and body; prepare people for employment, welcome and embrace newcomers and help foster a nationwide service ethic. And that’s just the beginning.
