Who We Are
The mission of Future In Sight is to help people with blindness or vision loss continue living safely and independently at home, at work, and in the community. We offer low vision services from occupational therapists and low vision therapists, vision rehabilitation therapy, orientation & mobility training, educational services, counseling services, technology training, and more!
What We Do
Social Work Services include intakes, individual and family counseling, support groups, and referrals to appropriate community services. Low Vision Services instruct those who are partially sighted in the effective use of their remaining vision, through evaluations and training with low vision aids. Services are provided by occupational therapists, low vision therapists, and eye care professionals. Rehabilitation Therapy teaches skills that enable people with vision loss to have productive and rewarding lives. We focus on areas that enhance independence, such as personal safety, household and financial management, and communication. Orientation & Mobility Training involves specialized instruction that allows an individual to develop safe and independent travel skills in the home, neighborhood, and workplace. Educational Services assist children, from birth to 21 years old, who experience vision loss or blindness. Specialized instruction is provided by teachers of students with visual impairments, and orientation & mobility training is available. Technology Services incorporate assessments and adequate training to clients so they can optimize the use of technology within daily activities. Accessibility Consulting equips businesses and organizations, in both the public and private sectors, to ensure compliance and proper accommodations for patrons who are visually impaired.
