Join Special Olympics New Hampshire as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of our Penguin Plunge! The Penguin Plunge is our largest annual fundraiser.
Special Olympics New Hampshire is a state-wide organization providing year-round athletic training and sports competition opportunities to individuals with intellectual disabilities. For 25 years now, SONH has hosted the annual Penguin Plunge fundraising event, which provides an amazing opportunity to grow our community, share our mission, and raise money to support individuals with intellectual disabilities in New Hampshire.
The Penguin Plunge is fun for individuals, students, local groups, and businesses to participate in. Hundreds of individuals across New Hampshire sign up and raise money to plunge into cold water in the winter. Many participants enjoy the experience of plunging into the icy New Hampshire waters and come back year after year to do it again! This winter’s Penguin Plunge will take place the morning of February 11, 2024 at Hampton Beach, NH. We’re celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Plunge and we expect a large turnout!
Registration for the Penguin Plunge costs $50 and registrants have a fundraising minimum requirement of $400. Individuals can sign up to plunge on their own or as a “flock” (team) alongside a group of friends, classmates, or colleagues (5 person minimum). Participants receive fun incentives throughout the process such as a free Champion Beanie for early registration and an L.L. Bean fleece for reaching the fundraising minimum.
This fundraising event is a great opportunity to engage with your local community and support Special Olympics New Hampshire.
