Each year we finish up the season with the important step of closing down the school & urban community gardens. It is important to remove old debris and cover the soil to keep the gardens healthy and happy for the gardeners the following season!
Activities include trimming back dead plants, raking up debris, weeding, adding some soil amendments, and spot mulching worn areas.
No experience necessary and all ages welcome to lend a hand and learn a thing or two about fall garden shutdown in the process :)
