Meals on Wheels is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team supporting our Community Dining programs and morning meal packing operations. These opportunities make a meaningful difference in the lives of local seniors by helping provide nutritious meals and friendly service.

Nashua Community Dining – Senior Activity Center

Days Needed: Monday–Thursday
Time: 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Seeking two kitchen volunteers each day to assist with meal service.

Responsibilities include:

Preparing and serving meals Assisting with cleanup after service

 

Hudson Community Dining

Days Needed: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
Time: 11:00 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.

We currently have coverage on all three days but are looking for one additional volunteer to serve as a floater on busier days.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting with food prep and setup Serving meals to seniors Helping with cleanup after lunch

Pelham Community Dining

Days Needed: Tuesday or Thursday
Time: 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

We’re seeking an additional volunteer to support our current team.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting with meal prep and serving Cleaning up after lunch

Morning Packers – Senior Activity Center Nashua

Days Needed: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
Time: 7:45 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.

Help us get meals ready for delivery by joining our packing team! We’re fully staffed on Thursday and Friday but need additional help earlier in the week.

Openings:

3 Packers on Monday 2 Packers on Tuesday 2 Packers on Wednesday

Responsibilities include:

Assembling supplemental bags Packing meals for delivery routes

If you enjoy working with a friendly team and want to make a direct impact in your community, we’d love to have you volunteer with us.

We have 3 new meal delivery routes in Hudson, Pelham, and Litchfield.  These routes will deliver on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. 

Seeking 9 volunteers to cover these shifts.  Each volunteer will deliver one day per week. 

Meal pick up and cooler drop off will take place at the Hudson Senior Center.

We all know what it feels like to be lonely - and to be hungry not just for a meal, but for the nourishment that comes from personal connection. That’s where you and Meals on Wheels come in. By becoming a volunteer, you’ll deliver a meal, provide a friendly visit, and offer a safety check to homebound and disabled adults who may not have contact with another person all day. You’ll join more than 250 local volunteers and more than two million others nationally - working collectively throughout the U.S. to make sure the older adults who took care of us aren’t forgotten, hungry or alone. It doesn’t take much from each of us to improve the lives of so many. Together, we can make a huge difference for the homebound and disabled adults in our community.

Just a few hours of your assistance, one day per week, typically between 9:45 am and 12:00 pm can help your neighbors remain healthy and live independently at home.
