Nashua Adult Learning Center

Nashua ALC primarily provides classes to ESL adults looking to improve their English language ability. We also have classes for adults who need assistance in improving their reading, writing and math skills. Most of these student are working toward obtaining their High School Equivalency or want to improve their skills before beginning their higher education.

Our tutorial program in conjunction with or in place of classes offered in both English as a Second Language (ESL) and Adult Basic Education. The adult ESL students range from just beginning to speak/understand English up to almost fluent. The ESL students generally want to work to improve their pronunciation, general conversation skills, ability to write correctly in English and someone to answer cultural questions. Most of our Adult Education students need help with math, writing and reading. They are either trying to get their high school equivalency or building up their skills so they can go to college.
