Who We Are

21st Century Extended Day program is the Nashua School District's after school program. We serve students in the five poorest elementary schools in the city of Nashua and have been doing so for the past 19 years! We work to provide students with academic support, engage students' families in their children's' learning, and offer new and fun enrichment activities after school.

What We Do

21st Century provides elementary students with academic support after school. We do this through homework support provided by school day teachers, fun activities that support school day learning, and by fostering strong relationships with our students and their families.

The enrichment activities are changing at each of our five locations throughout the year. We offer classes and opportunities for students in the areas of sports and recreation, visual and performing arts, community and leadership, science and technology, and many others!

In addition to volunteers and staff, students are able to access programs and classes with our program partners. Our partners provide students with a variety of interest based classes such as gardening programs with Grow Nashua, self defense classes with Girls Inc. and technology classes at the Apple Store.

One of the most important aspects of our work is connecting school day teachers with students' families. Our staff work alongside teachers and administration, making them a true part of the school community. Our 21st Century staff also connects with students' families each day and provide important information about their child's progress as well as engage them in the school community.
