Volunteer Station Coordinator Needed for AmeriCorps Senior Companions Program at United Way of Greater Nashua
We are seeking a dedicated volunteer for the role of "Volunteer Station Coordinators for the AmeriCorps Senior Companions Program at the United Way of Greater Nashua". This role is crucial in providing support and companionship to homebound seniors in our community. AmeriCorps Senior Companions will provide training for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communication: Act as the primary liaison with the SCP Program Coordinator to ensure the availability of meeting spaces and address any issues that arise.
- Initial Visits: Accompany Senior Companions on their first visit with a client to develop a Volunteer Assignment Plan.
- Documentation: Submit Volunteer Service Logs to the sponsor agency regularly.
- Safety: Exercise good judgment to ensure the health and safety of Senior Companions during assignments.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Compassionate and responsible, with a commitment to improving the lives of seniors.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the SCP Program Coordinator and Senior Companions.
