Volunteers are needed to help direct traffic and help with social distancing at this year's "Nashua Goes Back to School" night on Thursday, August 20th.
This year the City of Nashua, The Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce, and the Nashua Telegraph are partnering to welcome students to the new school year and provide each student with a bag of school supplies. The event will take place at Elm Street Middle School, Fairgrounds Elementary School and Amherst Street Elementary School between 4:30pm and 6:30pm and will be in the style of a "reverse parade" where families drive up or walk up in a line to pick up their supplies.
Volunteers will be directing families as the enter the school properties and making sure social distancing protocols are followed. One volunteer at each school will be stationed at a table with the Public Health Department helping hand out information.
